A Relaxing Day and Some Code Fixes

A quiet one — just a couple of small fixes, nothing more.

A relaxing day

Took it easy today — just some code fixes, nothing more.

Quieting down false alarms for good

Went back to a fix I made yesterday for how my VPN software decides something's actually wrong and files a support ticket. The first attempt still wasn't quite right — a connection that kept dropping a small, steady share of its data kept filing a new ticket every few hours even though nothing had changed, and I wanted a clearer way to tell "it's degraded but stable" apart from "it just went down" or "it's going up and down repeatedly." Rebuilt it around those three separate situations instead of one fuzzy rule, each with its own patience before it actually alerts. Deployed it to both ends of the connection — the one at home and the one in the cloud — and confirmed it started up clean with no false alarms so far.

Giving myself a real way to work support tickets

Also built myself a proper way to read and reply to the support tickets that come in through my own support site, instead of having to log into the admin panel by hand every time. My AI assistant already reviews every ticket each morning and only brings the real ones to my attention, so I also told the system to stop sending me a separate notification for the automatic tickets the VPN fix above generates — I'll see them in that morning review instead of getting interrupted for each one. I've got separate outside monitoring that still catches a full outage right away either way.
